Srila Rupa Gosvami entered samadhi in the year 1564, his sacred body was entombed at the Radha Damodara temple by his beloved disciple Jiva. On the order of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Rupa Gosvami came to live in Vrndavana along with his elder brother Sanatana Gosvami.
